CREO 2.0
In Feb 2018 we completed on our new boat CREO 2.0 a Trident Warrior 38 she is a really “grown up” boat and designed to travel long distances, in fact she has already done a complete circumnavigation in the hands of her previous owners!
A Little History
CREO was built in 1984 by Trident Boats, named NADEMIA and was we believe the first of her kind and kept by them for the first few years of her life and used as the promotional boat for brochures etc. She was then sold to a couple of guys from London who we believe sailed her to the MED and she was used mostly as a holiday boat for a few years. After this she was sold to Alastair & Carolyn who upgraded her and then joined the Blue Water Rally which unfortunately doesn’t exist anymore, their journey took them all the way around the world and she sailed over 30,000 nm in just over 2 years between 2003-2005. After this they used her for holidays and she was continually upgraded and maintained including new rigging, teak deck, engine and sails.
The Plan
CREO is currently getting a refresh (early 2018) – new interior varnish, some new upholstery and curtains, new batteries, solar panels, new chargers, etc etc to make her ready to set sail and head south.
CREO 1.0
CREO 1.0 is a 2001 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 she started life as a charter boat in Greece and after a couple of private owners we bought her in April 2016.
CREO is an owners version which means she has 2 cabins instead of the usual 3 this means that we have a huge galley and an outside storage locker you could have a party in both of which are very useful when your living onboard.
She has been well looked after and apart from a few small issues the survey went very well when we bought her but as with all boats its a never ending list of modifications and repairs as you go.
So far we have added solar panels, a new tender and outboard, replaced most of both toilets ( not a favourite job ) and had a seacock replaced while the boat was still in the water.. Upgrades coming up – more solar, new batteries, water maker, new mattress in the master cabin, a new VHF, AIS and new anchor chain and the list gets longer everyday 🙂
We sold CREO 1.0 at the end of 2017 and she is currently cruising the MED with her new owners.
